There are now two different splint models. The original and the new one for children and people with a short torso. The original model is 8 inches tall and has 3 arms. The short torso splint is 6 inches tall and has 2 arms.
This package is for you if you are in your second trimester of your pregnancy. You are feeling better and you are wanting to start preparing your body for labor early in your pregnancy. Tupler Technique® Perfect Pushing® Video will teach you how to strengthen your abdominal muscles with the 4 step Tupler Technique®. For your pushing to be effective, you need to have strong abdominal muscles that can push for as long as necessary without tiring as well as knowing how to use them separately from your pelvic floor muscles. Then in labor you can push with your strengthened and splinted abdominal muscles while relaxing your pelvic floor muscles.
The Tupler Technique® Guidebook will give you a summary of the 4 steps and also a daily chart with how many of the exercises you should be doing every day.
The Diastasis Rehab Splint® is one of the 4 steps of the Tupler Technique® and can be worn safely during pregnancy. We recommend wearing it in your second trimester when you are feeling better. The pad of the Splint will stay the same during pregnancy. However, the arms of the splint will need to get longer to accommodate for your growing belly. The Extenders are the solution to making the arms of your splint longer.
